A journey in the late 1960s aboard a Swindon Diesel Multiple Unit from Craven Arms to Llanelli. On the way we explore the stations and engineering features of this remarkable line using film taken in 1969, in the days of working steam and in 2026.

A Journey from Llanelli to Craven Arms.
A journey with views from the air in 2026, from the cab and lineside in the late 1960s and in steam days. The climb to the summits at Sugar Loaf and Llangynllo are featured. In addition we look at freight traffic over the line in the 1970s as well as the last coal trains to Gwaun Cae Gurwen.
