About Us

Transport Video Publishing, widely known by its initials TVP is Britain’s leading railway video company!

TVP produces quality railway orientated videos made by enthusiasts for
enthusiasts.

TVP has been making professionally produced programmes since 1983.  To
ensure a wide range of current material, the team based at
Wheathampstead is supported by an army of railway enthusiast
contributors throughout the country.

Together, we create TVP’s popular steam orientated bimonthly main-line
and heritage news and feature video magazine Steam Video.  This has been
keeping railway enthusiasts informed and entertained since 1983.  Video
Track, our companion programme on diesel and electric mainline and
heritage operations was launched 1987.

In addition, we produce a flow of one off titles.  These cover specific
topics.  Recent programmes have included Branches in the South East, a
record of steam operations in the 1950s and early 1960s and … … …

TVP continues to keep pace with technology.  TVP was one the first
specialist interest video production companies to introduce a Blue Ray
as an option with its crystal clear high definition pictures.

We have also been revisiting our back library of hundreds of hours of
published and unpublished material, from when the VHS cassette was the
media of choice, to remaster and reissue this unique source of material
on modern formats.

Our enthusiasm for the fascination of railways extends beyond just the
trains but includes the developments, as well as recording the
disappearance, of the wider railway environment, such as operations and
signalling.  Our extensive catalogue includes subjects such as signal
boxes, coal freight operations and even how to drive a diesel!

TVP – Thirty five years of railway programmes by enthusiasts for
enthusiasts.
