Description

The programme comprises film from the main line steam scene in recent months together with archive film from the 1960s from the Southern, Western and Scottish regions.

The Grouping of 1923 – the A4s with archive film from Scotland and 60024 on the Southern in 1967 – The West Coast; ‘Duchess’ Pacifics – Bulleids Pacifics including the last years of steam on the Southern – 34067 ‘Tangmere’ in 2006 – the Great Western Railway with 6024 ‘King Edward 1st’ and archive film from the 1960s including Panniers and Halls, plus Great Western steam in 2006 – the LMS Blacks 5s – the LNER B1s – the Jubilees – Heavy freight designs with the Churchward 2-8-0s and the 8fs.

Introduced from the National Railway Museum by Graham Aldous.
